UN Women and SCW Bahrain hosted a side event at the Second World Summit for Social Development 2025 in Doha on 6 November 2025 to present the third edition of the Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women’s Empowerment.

The event brought together global leaders, diplomats, and development partners to reaffirm the role of women’s empowerment in achieving sustainable development. It also highlighted the leadership of the Global Award for Women’s Empowerment, which recognizes exceptional efforts advancing women’s empowerment regionally and globally.
